Terms of Sale
Last updated: September 11, 2026
These terms apply to any purchase of coins in the THE IFC app, published by The IFC, a company established in France ("we"). They complement the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. By buying coins, you accept them.
1. What coins are
Coins are the app's virtual currency. They let you take part in the league and in competitions, recruit players and run your club. They have no monetary value: they cannot be converted into money, resold or transferred outside the app. They are granted to you under a limited, personal and revocable licence, and remain the property of The IFC.
The number of coins in circulation is deliberately capped so that the game's economy keeps its meaning. We may adjust this cap, prices and the uses of coins; such changes do not apply retroactively to purchases already made.
2. Who can buy
You must be 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian if you are between 13 and 17. Purchases made from an account are deemed authorized by its holder: protect access to your device and your account.
3. How a purchase works
Coins are bought in packs, in the app, through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed by Apple or Google under their own terms: we never see or keep your payment details. Coins are credited to the chosen wallet, yours or that of a club you are responsible for, as soon as the store confirms the transaction.
Prices are shown in the app, taxes included, in your store's currency. We may change them at any time; the price that applies is the one shown at the time of purchase.
4. Refunds and right of withdrawal
Coins are digital content delivered immediately. By confirming the purchase, you request that immediate delivery and waive your fourteen-day right of withdrawal, as consumer law allows.
No refund is given for purchased coins, except where the law requires it or where Apple's or Google's refund policy provides for it. Any refund request goes to the store where the purchase was made, not to The IFC. If a refund is granted, the corresponding coins are removed from the wallet, which may go negative.
In case of a technical problem, for instance coins paid for but not credited, write to us with the transaction reference: we will correct the balance.
5. What coins commit you to in the game
Some uses of coins are final, by the very rules of the game:
- Registration for a league lobby: 100 coins, refunded if you withdraw before an opponent is found or if no opponent is found. Once the match is created, the fee is earned; the team that does not show up loses it, the team that shows up gets it back.
- Calling an admin in a score dispute: 100 coins at stake. They are returned if your score is upheld, lost if it is not.
- Contracts, transfers and bonuses: coins paid to a player or a club belong to them, under the terms you accepted when making the offer. A tax may be levied on transfer fees.
- Trophies and rewards: coins spent to award a trophy are not refunded.
These rules are detailed in the app, in the "How it works" guide and on each relevant screen. We recommend reading them before committing coins.
6. Accounts, errors and abuse
Coins are attached to the account or club that holds them. If you close your account, or if it is closed for breach of the Terms of Service, any remaining coins are lost without refund. A dissolved club loses its wallet.
We may correct a balance resulting from a technical error, fraud or circumvention of the rules, and suspend purchases from the account involved. Coins obtained by means not provided for by the app are removed.
7. Availability
We may change or stop the sale of coins, or the app itself. If the service is permanently discontinued, we will give you at least thirty days' notice so that you can use your coins. Coins unused at closure are not refunded, unless the law provides otherwise.
8. Liability
We provide the app with professional care, without guaranteeing that it will be free of any interruption or error. Our liability for a purchase is limited to the amount of that purchase, except in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow such a limitation. Nothing in these terms reduces the rights the law guarantees you as a consumer.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, write to us first: most questions are settled through a conversation. If you are a consumer, you may then turn free of charge to a consumer mediator, or to the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the protective rules of your country of residence.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Significant changes are announced in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top of the page is updated. Purchases already made remain subject to the terms in force at the time of purchase.
