Prepare a match
How do you get your team ready for match day on IFC? Ask who's there, call up your players, and find reinforcements if you're short.
What to remember
- Attendance. The captain or a co-captain asks who's there: Send a reminder notifies the players, then only those who haven't answered yet. Each player answers Available, Maybe or Absent. One answer covers every match the team plays that day.
- The call-up. The staff picks the day's players among those not absent, then Send the call-up: each one is notified. A change goes out with Update the call-up, and only the players added or removed are told.
- The day's lineup is set once for every match of the day still open when you open it from the day (from a match, it covers that match only), and becomes the team's default lineup.
- Reinforcements. Short of a position? Publish a request for the day: the positions, and how many players for each. Players from your league apply, and the staff accepts or declines.
- A reinforcement plays for you that day only: they show in the day's lineup, don't join your squad and sign no contract. A player can only reinforce one club a day.
Good to know
- Your team must play in a league to look for reinforcements, and only that league's players see your requests.
- A player who answers Absent can't be called up, and leaves the call-up if they change their answer to Absent.
| Application | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The staff will answer. |
| Accepted | You play with this club that day. |
| Not retained | The staff declined, or the position filled up. |
| Withdrawn | You withdrew, or another club accepted you that day. |
