Play a match

How does a match go on IFC? Everything happens on its page: the score and the result.

What to remember

  • Every match has its page: the two teams and the kickoff, then the score.
  • Each team enters the score (the captain or a co-captain). When both entries match, the result is confirmed. Until then it doesn't count.
  • If the scores differ, tap Ask for an admin: the competition's admin checks and enters the right score. A score can't be changed once sent.
  • A forfeit is declared by the admin and counts as a loss for the team that forfeits.
  • In Matchmaking, you also chat with the other team, check in at kickoff, and can open a dispute: see Matchmaking.

Good to know

  • Penalty shootouts only apply to a knockout match that ends level (not a second leg): choose the winner when you enter the score.
  • The organizer can turn on automatic validation: when only one team enters the score, it's confirmed after a few minutes.
  • The Calendar gathers your team's matches and your communities' competitions, week by week.
  • Player stats (games, form, Elo, a player's impact on results) are part of the Stats subscription, in the app.
