Reinforcements

Missing a goalkeeper tonight? The club's staff publishes a reinforcement request for a day: the positions it is looking for, and how many players for each. Players from the same league see it, apply for a position, and the staff chooses who comes. An accepted reinforcement takes a place in the day's line-up, like a player of the club.

For clubs in a league

Your club must play in a league to look for reinforcements. Only that league's players see its requests.

Publishing a request (staff)

The staff (captain and sub-captains) opens the request from:

  • the New button on the home screen, Reinforcements entry, then the match;
  • the day's Reinforcements tab, next to presence, the call-up and the line-up;
  • the line-up: tap an empty slot, then Find reinforcements. The slot's position is already ticked, for one player;
  • the + next to Reinforcements wanted, in the Community tab.

For each position, choose how many players you are missing (up to 11), then Publish the request. You can change it later with Update.

  • Like the presence sheet, a request covers the whole day (Paris time): every match the club plays that day.
  • Each position counts those still missing: an accepted player leaves the count and shows next to it, in green (1 accepted).
  • Removing a position, or filling it, tells the applicants still waiting.

Finding a club and applying (player)

In the Community tab, the Reinforcements wanted section, under My communities, lists the requests from your league's clubs, soonest first. See more opens the full list.

  • A request shows from its publication until its day. It goes away once every match of the day is played.
  • Your own club does not appear there.
  • A full position goes away, unless you already applied for it.

A request's page shows the club's Planned lineup: its formation, who plays where, and the wanted positions in green. Tap a position to apply, add a word to the captain if you like, then Apply.

Not for the opponent

It only shows while a position is still open, and never to the players of a club the team plays that day.

Accepting or declining (staff)

Each application sends a notification to the staff, which opens the day's Candidates tab. The home screen says it too: a 4 candidates to reinforce you band, with the day, the positions and the places taken, stays on top while candidates wait for an answer.

The Candidates tab, after Reinforcements, shows how many candidates are waiting. They are grouped by position, with the places taken (for example 1/2): the accepted first, then those waiting, with their word to the captain, then those not retained. The ✕ and ✓ buttons decline or accept, and tell the player.

  • One club a day: an accepted player leaves his other applications for the day and can no longer apply elsewhere that day.
  • A full position declines its other applicants on its own. If a place opens up again, they can apply again.
  • A decline by the staff is final for that position.

The reinforcement in the line-up

An accepted reinforcement shows in the line-up of his day's matches, among the players to place, tagged Reinforcement, even once the call-up is sent. Place him like a player of the club: he counts in the match's line-up.

  • He only shows on that day, and leaves it if he withdraws his application.
  • He does not join the squad: the day's line-up, which becomes the club's default line-up, is saved without him.
  • A tournament with a locked roster does not take him: only the players on the tournament's roster play there.

Where your application stands

StatusWhat it means
PendingThe captain sees your application and will answer.
AcceptedYou play with this club that day.
Not retainedThe staff declined, or the position filled up.
WithdrawnYou withdrew your application, or another club accepted you the same day.

Once accepted, a notification tells you, with your position and the day. In the Community tab, a green You play card opens the reinforcements section: the club, the day and the time, its matches, your position, and what is left to do, join their EA club before kickoff.

You can Withdraw my application at any time, even once accepted: the staff is then told.

A reinforcement stays a guest

A reinforcement does not join the club's squad and signs no contract. The match counts for what it is: league, tournament or friendly.
